India's quick-commerce sector is rapidly expanding beyond groceries and daily essentials. In a significant move, Swiggy Instamart has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to introduce doorstep LPG cylinder delivery in Bengaluru.
The new service enables customers to receive LPG cylinders within 30 to 45 minutes, making the process of booking and receiving cooking gas faster and more convenient than ever before. Users can simply place their order through the Swiggy Instamart app and have the cylinder delivered directly to their doorstep.
The initiative is expected to benefit students, working professionals, renters, and urban households who often require quicker access to essential household services. By integrating LPG delivery into its quick-commerce platform, Swiggy is expanding its portfolio beyond food, groceries, and everyday essentials.
This partnership also highlights the growing role of quick-commerce in transforming traditional services. As consumer demand shifts toward faster and more convenient deliveries, companies are increasingly leveraging digital platforms to improve accessibility and customer experience.
Currently, the service is available only in Bengaluru, with the possibility of expansion to additional cities in the coming months.
The launch marks another milestone in India's evolving quick-commerce ecosystem, demonstrating how technology and logistics continue to reshape the delivery of essential services.
